As we begin the second volume of The Kallipolitan Magazine with our 13th issue, Happy Life Anniversary, I feel that it is time for a toast. A toast to you the reader, to my brilliant staff, to the magazine, to a Happy Life Anniversary, and to many many more.
Well, this dream could never have been realized without the tireless and impeccable efforts of our amazing staff. As an editor I want to say how proud you all should be of your work; and as a friend I want to say how proud I am to work with all of you. This dream could have never been realized without the endless patience and support from all of our families. They dreamt, not of a utopia, but of happiness and fulfilment for us, and that is what The Kallipolitan is. This dream could have never been realized without you, the reader. You’ve been at the very heart of everything we do, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I would like to personally thank each member of our staff, Kamran, Madeleine, Gabriel, Antonio, Osvaldo, Rahman, Zurab, Anders, and Toshiro. I would like to thank all of our families. And of course I would like to thank each and every reader. So thank you; thank you all for being there.
So to thank you properly we will ensure that The Kallipolitan Magazine continues to provide insightful discussion on art, old favourites and little known works alike. We know that in life there are no finish lines, so we’ve already been working day and night to bring you a second volume of The Kallipolitan that is even more refreshing, daring, and entertaining than the first. This coming year we have some rather special articles and projects in the works. Obscure foreign films, philosophical feminism, modern architecture, political activism in sports, revolutionary cartoons, and a further exploration of amazing cities featuring more trips to more places. We cannot wait to start this new year but mainly we cannot wait to share it all with you.
Editor-in-Chief, The Kallipolitan Magazine
To celebrate the first volume of The Kallipolitan Magazine, Antonio Mosquera created a cover image that pays homage to all 12 issues, all the articles, all the work, all the long hours, and sums up our current attitude of accomplishment. Yes, we finished the entire inaugural volume of our magazine. And Now Scat!
