Politics is very much a point of perspective. Some people see politics in everything and they see everything as inherently political. Some people deny this perspective. The thing about politics when it intersects with art is that it must walk a fine line between political art and propaganda. It is for this reason that some people say that all political art is some form of propaganda, either for something or against something else.

Gabriel: If Pharrell’s song Happy evokes anything in you at all it is to question your own happiness. This question is not asked with the intention of undermining your happiness but better understanding it. I have always identified with the simplicity of an emotion like happiness; even the word resonates deep within us and somehow always improves our mood. The very nature of happiness is not really a debate but a conversation; and one that has the power to make good friends out of complete strangers. That is the happiness that I see in Pharrell Williams’ song. By Ahmed Latif
Redwall, Brian Jacques’ children fantasy novel series, was animated into a cartoon series by a British-Canadian-French partnership. It was also translated into several languages including Arabic, Hebrew, and Maori. The series follows the woodland creatures that call Redwall Abby home. It thrills the imagination with stories of mice warriors, legendary swords, and sparrows guided by a code of honour. In the midst of all there is a powerful social and political relevance to the story of Redwall. Redwall bears the mark of great literature and animation, which is translating fantasy into something people find relatable. Within the Redwall series there are three storylines which stand on their own. There is a lot to find in Redwall and much like great treasures everybody finds something different. |
